Bruno Fernandes has revealed he is happier playing for Portugal than at Manchester United.
The 30-year-old admitted that United’s current situation is not so good, with the team currently 14th in the Premier League table with just 8 points from 7 games.
They have also picked up just two points from their two Europa League matches.
The situation worsened last week when Bruno, the team captain, was sent off in the draw with Porto.
Amid the chaos at Old Trafford, the midfielder sees his time with Portugal as a positive break.
“It’s not a good time, we didn’t win and the national team area is completely different,” he said.
“I feel very comfortable, the dynamics are very good, I am in my country, I speak my language and I have better food. I have shown a good level in the national team.”
“It’s an area where I feel good and I feel I can enjoy my football at a very high level because of the dynamics we have and the quality I have in the team.”
“It’s about improving straight away when I get back there (Manchester),” Bruno added.
“We need to score again because I’m a midfielder who scores a lot of goals and over the years I’ve shown a very high level of scoring goals.”
“I have to play to my expectations and standards. What I’ve done is not what the team needs this season because I haven’t scored for the club yet.”
“I hope when I get back there I can score goals and ยูฟ่าเบท help the club get back on winning path and to a good level.”
